The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it tends to smash into walls and other objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history within the app will show you exactly what it's doing as well as where it's heading and what obstacles it's avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs are required like emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It also mixes detergent into the tank automatically, using a 600ml eufy solution.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners may miss.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek, angular style is eye-catching and it has only three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can send the robot back to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-refilling.
The only downside I've discovered with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if necessary) but it's a challenge to remove the mount itself to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of clever features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and set up these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40

4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It has a number of characteristics that make it stand out.
